I’ve worked frequently with Fresenius Creative Studio to create fun, engaging animations for display across their social channels. With careful attention to detail, and considering the different aspect ratios needed for specific platforms, I worked to make sure my animation complemented the designs in a natural and aesthetic way. I had the opportunity to create a 3D model of their Thrive Man character, but keep the 2D style they had designed for him. This allowed me to work more quickly and add greater depth to his movement than would be possible with 2D animation.
Creating a 3D version of Fresenius’s Thrive Man character allowed me to be able to push the possibilities when it came to animation. Mixamo has a great library of motion capture animation for 3D characters. I was able to upload an obj of the Thrive Man, find a nice swing dancing routine, and bam! We had a high quality dance animation without the headache of dealing with hundreds of keyframes.
